OUR STRATEGIC PLAN

• Develop comprehensive business plans to improve quality of care, staff member satisfaction, and growth
• Expand Serenity Lane’s mental health and medical services (including MAT) to better serve patient needs
• Increase staff retention through recruitment and retention efforts
• Improve patient access to care through strengthening referent/stakeholder relationships
• Provide assessment services to other organizations and community partners

ACCREDITATION

Serenity Lane has been accredited by CARF
(The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities)
CARF examines our assessment and referral programs, our specialty hospital, residential programs, long-term treatment program (ExSL) and our outpatient programs. CARF typically awards accreditation in three year increments.
CARF-accredited service providers enjoy recognition among an international community of consumers and programs.
CARF-accredited programs ensure the highest industry standards possible, providing risk reduction and accountability.
CARF accreditation means the provider has passed an in-depth review of its services. It provides assurance that the health care facility meets rigorous CARF guidelines for service and quality – qualified endorsement that the provider conforms to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and that the focus is on delivering that most favorable results for their patients.
CARF accreditation means you can be confident that an organization has made a commitment to continually enhance the quality of its services and programs and its focus is on patient satisfaction.

SERENITY LANE'S HISTORY

Serenity Lane was established as a private, non-profit treatment center for alcoholism and drug abuse in 1973 by Dr. Thomas A. Kerns. Sam Graves of Heartview Foundation, Mandan, North Dakota, was recruited to direct the Serenity Lane program. Serenity Lane has been licensed as a specialty hospital treating addiction since 1973 and all programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). We are the only treatment center in Oregon that is fully licensed as a specialty hospital to do medical withdrawal support. We have a professional medical staff and 24-hour nursing care.

Serenity Lane has pioneered many new programs over the years, including outpatient and residential step-down programs that combine residential and outpatient services. Serenity Lane has outpatient programs in many locations throughout Oregon. Serenity Lane’s quality treatment of patients and their families is legendary.

Serenity Lane has had the only Addiction Counselor Training Program in the State of Oregon and we have graduates working in many treatment programs throughout the United States. Many of our counselors and physicians have been recognized for national honors. Our rigid adherence to qualifications and the longevity of our staff make Serenity Lane one of the premier treatment centers for alcohol and other drug problems. These attributes, combined with comparatively modest pricing, make Serenity Lane a desirable program for many patients and their families.
