It helps the client get off of the substance in a safe, compassionate environment and begin an intensive treatment plan that requires the client to stay at the facility for a certain amount of time.

Serving Our Communities Since 1973

In 1973, Serenity Lane was started as a private, non-profit treatment center for alcohol and substance use disorders. The facility was started by Dr. Thomas A. Kerns and has been licensed as a specialty hospital for addiction treatment since its inception in 1973. All programs within Serenity Lane are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Serenity Lane is the only treatment center in Oregon that is fully licensed to do medical withdrawal support.

Serenity Lane has served as a trailblazer in the Pacific Northwest over the last multiple decades, pioneering many new programs including the combination of outpatient and residential services.

Providing a Full Continuum of Care

At Serenity Lane, we offer a wide spectrum of services to help address any issues with substance use and addiction that you may be experiencing:

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment at Serenity Lane provides stabilization and crisis intervention, as well as around-the-clock medically supervised detoxification. Counseling and individual therapy sessions help patients as they deal with the complex issues of chemical dependency. Our residential treatment program is 28 days long. The program provides intensive group therapy, individual counseling, and education about the disease of addiction.

Day Treatment (Partial Hospitalization)

Serenity Lane’s day treatment program, also known as partial hospitalization, is the highest level of substance use disorder care after inpatient residential treatment. Day treatment is a great option for individuals looking for a comprehensive treatment program that allows them to balance the demands of personal and professional life.

Level II Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Serenity Lane’s level II outpatient program is 10 weeks of intensive, comprehensive treatment that includes group therapy, individual counseling, and education about the disease of addiction. Treatment groups meet for three hours, three times per week.

Level I Outpatient

Following outpatient treatment, recovery support is provided on a weekly basis for 44 weeks or longer. Patients meet for 90-minute weekly session to learn to identify and manage stressful life events and incorporate relapse prevention techniques.
