Serenity Lane is a network of non-profit substance use and addiction treatment centers with locations all across Oregon. Started in 1973, Serenity Lane has been serving the needs of our community as a pioneer in the addiction recovery space. We offer a full spectrum of treatment programming and our approaches to treatment are individualized to meet the needs of those we treat.

Our residential treatment center in Coburg, Oregon provides clinical assessments, mental health evaluation and support for co-occuring disorders, as well as medically supported withdrawal (also known as detox).

Along with our inpatient treatment facility, we also have outpatient facilities all across the state in Eugene, Portland, Bend, Albany, Roseburg, and Salem. The goal of every program at Serenity Lane is to provide you with individualized care and all of the tools necessary to living a life free of substance use.

A Full Spectrum of Treatment Options

At our residential treatment facility in Coburg, we offer our full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient programming.

Residential Treatment: provides stabilization and crisis intervention, as well as around the clock medically supervised detoxification and treatment. Counseling and individual therapy sessions help patients as they deal with the complex issues of chemical dependency. Our residential treatment program is 28 days long. The program provides intensive group therapy, individual counseling and education about the disease of addiction.

At our other locations across Oregon, as well as in Coburg, we offer many treatment programs including multiple levels of outpatient care. We’ve outlined our three levels of outpatient treatment below:

Day Treatment (partial-hospitalization): Our day treatment program, also known as partial-hospitalization, is the most intensive level of care after our inpatient residential treatment program. Day treatment is a great option for individuals looking for a comprehensive treatment program that allows them to balance the demands of personal and professional life.

Level II Outpatient Program: Level II outpatient, also known as intensive outpatient or IOP is ten weeks of intensive, comprehensive treatment that includes group therapy, individual counseling and education about the disease of addiction.

Level I Outpatient Program: Our Level I outpatient program is the next step after IOP. Following outpatient treatment, recovery support is provided on a weekly basis for 44 weeks or longer. Patients meet for a 90-minute weekly session to learn to identify and manage stressful life events and incorporate relapse prevention techniques.

We realize that attending on-campus treatment programming is not always on option. That's why we’ve developed our very own telehealth programming. Serenity Lane’s RecoveryNOW virtual addiction treatment services provide the same exceptional Intensive Outpatient and Level I outpatient programming via the Zoom teleconferencing platform. This will include group sessions and meetings with counselors.

Serenity Lane was established as a private, non-profit treatment center for addiction and substance use issues in 1973 by Dr. Thomas A. Kerns. Serenity Lane has been licensed as a specialty hospital treating addiction since 1973 and all programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). We are the only treatment center in Oregon that is fully licensed as a specialty hospital to do medical withdrawal support. We have a professional medical staff and 24-hour nursing care.

Serenity Lane has pioneered many new programs over the years, including outpatient and residential step-down programs that combine residential and outpatient services.
